About Derbes Tech

An outsourced robotics R&D team in Astana. We take humanoids and robot dogs people have already bought and make them do a specific job.

  • 6projects on humanoids, quadrupeds and service robots
  • 6robot platforms we build on
  • 3working languages — English, Russian and Kazakh
  • Astanaour lab — plus remote and on-site work

Who we are

Derbes Tech is a robotics R&D team based in Astana, Kazakhstan. We work on robots our clients already own — Unitree G1 humanoids, Go2 and B2W robot dogs, Agibot A2 and X2, service robots such as OrionStar — and write the software that makes them useful: control, perception, learned policies and the integrations that connect a robot to real work.

Most projects start with hardware that is already on site. What is missing is a team that knows the SDK, the simulator and the failure modes well enough to get past the demo loop. You can keep the robot where it is and we work remotely, ship it to our lab in Astana, or we send engineers to you.

How we work

Four things that shape every project, whatever the robot is.

  • Simulation first

Most of the work happens in MuJoCo or Isaac Lab before it touches hardware. It is faster, it is safer, and it means the robot does not have to be in the same room as the engineer.

  • Open interfaces only

We need low-level access — an open SDK or a ROS 2 interface. On Unitree that means the EDU versions; consumer units are locked to the official app. If you have not bought yet, we will say so before you do.

  • Your robot, wherever it is

Keep it on your site and we work remotely, ship it to our lab in Astana, or we come to you. We agree the setup on the first call, not halfway through the project.

  • We hand it over

Every project ends with a handover session, and we run courses and workshops for your team — from ROS 2 basics to reinforcement learning and VLA models.
